What clients are saying
I just enjoyed working on pirouettes for the first time ever! I’m loving the tip you gave me. I used it in my turns and tours! It gave me a 4th turn today and I was collected enough afterwards to do a nice finish. You’re the best!
– Sterling M. | Performance Artist at Eugene Ballet

Thank you for everything over the last couple of years. I’m in the best place I’ve been since college. All credit to you. I appreciate it.
– Kyle K. | Former Collegiate Athlete

My body feels great! While teaching ballet today, I was able to easily flex, and I can really feel the lift on my standing leg along with the length through my working leg. Plus my feet feel great! Thank you for taking us through that exploration. I LOVE working with you!
– Chelsea S. | Dance Teacher & Physical Therapist

I just randomly turned to [my husband], after rolling on my roller, and blurted out “Julie is the best thing that ever happened to me!” Thank you so much for all you do for me. It has been an amazing two years and I couldn’t appreciate your time more. My life has completely transformed!

Frequently asked questions
How are you different from my dance teacher, yoga instructor, pilates trainer, or physical therapist?
While dance teachers teach dance technique, yoga instructors teach yoga postures, and pilates trainers teach pilates exercises, I also coach my clients through a series of specifically sequenced movements.
The difference is that the sequences we practice in Bridging The Gap Movement Method are specifically formulated to spark neural activity and prime connective tissues for end range activities. This unique form of training focuses on seemingly simple movements that specifically targets the neurons that fire our muscles and move our bones. By training this way, practitioners are able to easily identify compensation patterns and mend disjointed neurophysiological connections through a combination of visual, spatial, and somatic movement practices.
How is this different from physical therapy exercises?
Although many of our members find Bridging The Gap Movement Method to be a therapeutic part of their training regimen, the patterns and sequences in this movement method are unique to this methodology and not classified as standard Physical Therapy exercises.
What exactly are we learning in the Bridging The Gap Movement Method? How do I apply it to my movement journey?
Bridging The Gap Movement Method is a brain-body conditioning program that highlights the intentionality behind a series of seemingly simple movements that when combined in specific patterns, address gaps amid neurophysiological connections.
Before addressing these gaps, individuals often experience the negative effects of their body’s autonomic threat responses as anxiety, pain, weakness, fatigue, stiffness, and lack of coordination. All of which physically block them from reaching their full potential.
In this program members learn how to combine specific visual, spatial, and somatic awareness practices to sharpen their body’s neurophysiological connections and overcome their physical barriers.
What kind of results can I expect from your program?
By applying these methods to their training; professional movement artists have been able to reach new heights in their performance, dance teachers have reported success in helping students who previously struggled improve their technique, and committed practitioners have been able to reduce their pain, unlock their flexibility and harness their strength to move in ways they previously thought were impossible.
Although every individual has their own movement journey, everyone who embodies the methods offered in this program can expect to feel more comfortable in their body and to have more confidence in their ability.
How do I know if your training programs are the right fit for me?
The training programs I offer require critical thinking and dedicated practice. They are not for someone who wants everything done for them or for the person who is just looking for a quick workout. Individuals best suited for this community are committed movement artists, teachers, and practitioners who are interested in more than just feeling the burn. I have worked with a wide variety of individuals and those who gain the greatest advantage from these programs are interested in training their brain-body connections, ready to overcome their current limits, and dedicated to mastering their body’s movement.
Do you offer a certification after competing your training programs?
My programs have all been created to provide information and support to those seeking mastery of their movement. Since I do not believe self-mastery is something you can become “certified” in, nor do I believe anyone has the authority to grant such a title to a person other than themselves, I do not give out certifications. Rather than a certification, I offer each of my clients carefully distilled information and systemized applications that empower all who choose to practice them to access their body’s full potential.
